The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for technical analysis, effort estimation, solution design and development of the company software. In addition, he/she is responsible for the product quality, establishing and enforcing best practices and coding techniques.
Duties:Principal Duties 90%
• Translate complex functional, technical, and business requirements into robust and scalable solution designs
• Drive technical designs to consensus and approval while performing impact analysis on the existing functionality
• Break down the design into manageable development tasks and define and maintain project schedules
• Establish best practices and coding techniques; streamline the development cycle
• Perform design and code reviews to peers
• Work with QC and Technical Writers to describe the new features of the product and review test cases and product documentation
• Assist Technical Support personnel in solving users' problems with Pilgrim products

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Minimum Educational Requirement
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 5 years of Software development experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 2 years of Software development experience

Minimum Skill and Experience Requirement
• Experience with n-tier Web application development and deployment
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft .Net (ASP.net and VB.net or C#)
• In depth knowledge of objected oriented design concepts
• Experience working with requirement analysis and system design
• Be highly analytical, task oriented, detail oriented and able to finish projects on time
• Be positive, initiative and a team player
• Possess strong written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Optimum Skills or Background
Knowledge of or experience with the following will lead to job success:
• Have experience with Visual Studio Tools
• Extensive knowledge of creation and consumption of SOAP Web Services and SOA
• Extensive knowledge of WCF
• Experience with web development, including the use of HTML, CSS and AJAX, web standards and best practices is a plus
• Experience with Silverlight is a plus
• Experience with jQuery or other JS library is a plus
• Experience with MSSQL and Oracle
